How to Remove a Pit Bull
Well they say it's good to learn something new every day. The new thing I learned today was how to unclench the jaws of an attacking pit pull. I wish I could of seen the look of awe and amazement at the moment I saw the technique demonstrated.
While it's not a Shou' Shu' technique I do think it is a bit of advice that could come in handy when trying to defend a life.
So today I'm in the drivethrough at starbucks placing my order for a grande Pike's Place when I hear terrible screams behind me. I jump out of the car and run to where the screams are emanating to find a brindle pit with it's jaws clenched around one of those small obnoxious dogs. The owner of the pit was on top with the pit in a headlock and his fingers trying to pull the mouth apart. The owner of the small dog was trying to pull the dog away and screaming.
So I jumped on top and tried to help with the pit. I was a bit encumbered by my wrapped up fingers which I cut pretty badly yesterday.
the small dog looked as if it was gasping it's last few breaths. The situation looked hopeless. There's just no way to remove a pit once they are locked on. Or so I thought.
A woman walks up behind the pit. She lifts up the tail and quickly inserts two fingers into what I would call a very undesirable location. Next thing I know the pit is up looking around. Trying to figure out what took him by surprise and the small dog was released.
Now I'm not sure if there was anything to the technique that I did not realize. To tell the truth I was a bit dumbfounded. So I ask. Was anyone out there aware of this technique? Is there something special to it other than what was evident? Under what situations would you attempt to pull off this technique?

Upon reading this posting, I thought it would be wise for me to bring it to the attention of my co-workers. After their review and additional input regarding the matter. Our concensus was that rubber gloves are a mandatory peice of field eguipment. :) Mr. Miller
I'm having a hard enough time with the techniques we have to learn the anal distraction technique. I guess if it were hidden within the cards under the description of mongoose and the pitbull it might work, but I think it must be essentially dragon because illusion seems to be the key. At the rate I'm going, when I practice dragon, I will be so old the technique will make perfect sense.
